So, we are trying something new with our blog…reviewing some of our favorite funny/informative/insightful videos.

Here’s a video made by our friends at fLO Content going over the importance of BUDGETING. I’ll try not to step on their toes here so much, but suffice it to say that it should definitely be one of the first things to consider in any creative endeavor, and if not given sufficient attention, it could spell DOOM for your whole enterprise. DOOM.

Here’s another video that takes a farcical look at the creative process at the corporate level. As designers ourselves, a recurring phenomenon that, well, recurs quite a bit for us is one known as “Design By Committee.” While working with any large group of people, this is often unavoidable, but at the same time, quite easy to lampoon. In this video, we take a look at what would happen if the Stop Sign (yes, that one) had to be designed today in 2017 2009 (OK, so it’s an older video). We’re not offering any specific takeaway here; our goal is merely to entertain.

Finally, here’s another video lampooning the corporate/creative process. This video in particular has a number of salient points about how to go about offering feedback and suggesting changes during a project pipeline; namely, please please PLEASE don’t do anything featured in the video. Or do. See if we care. (And no, we definitely did not pick this video simply because it autoplayed for us immediately following the preceding Stop Sign video…)
