This has been a fun fall month In New York City! Well, more accurately, we’ve only been in the city for a couple days, but time flies when you’re having fun after all. Or wait, that’s backwards. And we’re all about going upwards. Forwards. Towards freedom.

We had a lot of fun in Rochester, NY doing StuffTM and ThingsTM. Said “Stuff/Things” greatly resembled a whole boatload of networking and animating, interspliced by …. wait, this word editing program just redlined “Interspliced.” Really, word editor? Well, in fairness, I could have just said, um, “also” I guess? Networking, animating, also Pumpkin Festival-ing.

Because those are totally words, and we will fight hug anyone who says differently.

Oh yes, and a commercial we put together for Rochester-area company Wonder Windows was on TV during the past few weeks, which was was super cool to see!  Well, more accurately, we missed it every single time the commercial came on the air, were called at by family and friends to come running while we were in the middle of doing, I guess, less important things, and well….

*sad trombone*

Still, other people who didn’t work on it (so I guess a lot) did see it, and told us it was the bees knees, which is always nice to hear. We wouldn’t dream of contradicting them, but mostly because we’re afraid of bees.

Now, onto the future: We’re looking into hiring contract animators for upcoming projects. Mostly stuff with either Flash or After Effects, but hey, if you get good results with a pencil and humble flip book, we’ll sign you up today, no joke.  The projects look to be 1-3 minute long promotional videos for a few different companies, basically a healthy mix of startups and more established brands. If you are interested, or know of someone interested, please contact us with availability, rates, demo reel, and um, who you think would win in a fight,

More on the future: Carla will be in NYC for the next month, and has already started off on the right foot with the purchase of a shiny new cheetah coat!

Well, I guess it’s not actually shiny. That would somewhat defeat the purpose of camouflage, which is why Carla made such a purchase in the first place, avid gazelle-stalker that she is. Lindsey meanwhile will be back in SF this month, so we are indeed expanding bi-coastly for now.  There’s a decent chance that, left to his own devices, Lindsey will spend the whole month in pitch black-ness (i.e., his “office”), so anyone who cares to take him out for a walk should contact Carla now to arrange a playdate well, OK, a playdate.

That’s all from us for now. See you at Halloween!
